The adequate Traution System for every type of vehicle

Our traction systems are mainly thought for vehicles which are often moving off-road, like for example construction vehicles, agricultural and forestry machines, military trucks, emergency medical services, fire trucks, police cars, snow plows, ATV / UTV / buggies, off-road cars and trucks and expedition vehicles. But also all other types of cars and trucks can get into situations in which they get stuck in mud, sand or snow and a quick continuation is necessary.

The following picture boxes depict systems which are best suited for the respective type of vehicle. You can assemble either one or more systems to your vehicle. The advantages and disadvantages of each system are explained on our product sites. Of course, you can consult us with any questions regarding your selection of the proper system.

Armored vehicles and armored limousines

In armored vehicles, the permanent retention of mobility is of the utmost importance. No matter if it's an armored state limousine, money transporter, armored car or special purpose vehicle. As soon as such a vehicle gets stuck or stands in front of artificial obstacles, like burning barricades, the inhabitants are in deadly peril because they are an easy, immobile target. Furthermore, getting out of the vehicle is not advisable in these kinds of situations.

Construction vehicles:
wheel loaders, excavators, compactors, graders, bobcats, etc.

Construction vehicles are on the way on difficult terrain very often and therefore get stuck more often than other types of vehicles. As soon as they can't move anymore every minute of downtime costs money.

Off-Road vehicles, Jeeps, SUVs, etc.

Built for rough terrain and with a robust frame: Off-road vehicles are perfectly suitable for our traction systems. Experienced off-road drivers know how annoying it is to get stuck, even more when it happens several times in a row.
In this case, they have to shovel dirt or snow for a long time in order to clear the on the ground resting under-floor. A tree for the winch is seldomly available.

Dump trucks, concrete trucks and other construction trucks

Construction truck, dump truck, tip truck, tip lorry, truck mixer, concrete mixer truck, cement mixer truck with a Traution traction system.

Just like other construction vehicles, construction trucks often drive on rough terrain. The traction of the wheels often reaches its limits and they start spinning. Because of the easily accessible main chassis beams on the under-floor, dump trucks are very well qualified for U-Systems.

Pickup Trucks

Pickup trucks have a useful feature: a robust loading bed that some owners seldomly use. On these, tiltable L-Systems can be mounted by what the ground clearance isn't reduced and the vehicle's length, width and height isn't exceeded. Systems mounted to the bed legally count as load and don't have to be registered in certain countries. If you want, we can prefabricate your tiltable L-System and ship it to you so that you can assemble it yourself. But as always we can do it for you as well of course.

Tractors, combines, corn harvesters, reapers and other agricultural machines

In matters of traction, tractors and other field machines have the most difficult job of all. On the one hand, the ground can be extremely soft, e.g. after plowing or rain, and on the other hand enormous drag forces need to be exerted in order to work the ground and pull the heavy trailing loads. Especially during harvest time is rare and a stuck machine can cause a noteworthy economic damage. For these situations we offer special systems with a very rough and deep profile that can penetrate the ground deeply and therefore achieve a gigantic grip.

ATVs, UTVs, SSVs (SxS) and Buggies

If your ATV gets stuck, it is mostly not the end of the world. ATVs are so light that you can somehow manage to get them free again without external help in many situations. On the other hand, the low weight enables the attachment of especially small, light and cheap Traution Systems that hardly affect the ground clearance. If you are a technology enthusiast and just like to play with mechanical gadgets, you are going to have lots of fun with a traction system. It will also enable you to master extremely difficult terrain where you would otherwise have no chance.

Army trucks, wheeled tanks and other military vehicles

Military vehicles need to be mobile in the most difficult terrain. In combat situations it can be deadly for the occupants when their army vehicle gets stuck while under fire. Particularly for military vehicles it is therefore of the utmost significance to get moving again within seconds. Also, combat vehicles are often armored and heavy so that it is hard for other vehicles, e.g. tractors, to recover them.

Harvester, forwarder, skidder, logging trucks and forestry vehicles

Forestry machine, forest vehicle, skidder, forwarder, harvester with a Traution traction system.

Forestry vehicles have to fight against rough terrain daily and moreover have to haul heavy tree trunks. And above all, skidders, harvesters and forwarders can do their duty in remote areas in dense forest. If they get stuck there, it is a challenge for the recovery vehicle to even get to them. Better you can help yourself - with a Traution System.

Fire engines, police cars, ambulances, mountain rescue, lifeguard, and all other emergency service vehicles

In case of emergency vehicles there is no long explanation necessary. Every second counts in an emergency. Getting stuck is an absolute taboo. Our traction systems are versatile and can be adapted to your special needs.

Expedition vehicles, all-wheel drive caravans and off-road campers

For all lovers of adventures with expedition vehicles in remote countries there are fitting traction systems in all size and weight classes. If you get stuck with your all-terrain camper in the wilderness, it can be dangerous to life not being able to get on because far away from civilization waiting for help is futile. Also it is very unpleasant to leave the vehicle and start shoveling in the hot and humid jungle with mosquitoes and dangerous animals all around you or during a blizzard in arctic temperatures.

Snow plows and winter services

Winter services, snow plow, snow plough with a Traution traction system.

On ice and snow the wheels don't find much traction. No wonder that snow plows get stuck in snowdrifts again and again or are unable to drive up icy inclines. With a Traution System you win against snow and ice.

Trucks of all kinds

Truck, lorry, crane, garbage truck, with a Traution traction system.

Traution Traction Systems can also pay off at trucks which are mainly driving on asphaltic roads. If they get stuck, e.g. by turning on a wet lawn, valuable time goes to waste. Due to the large size and high weight of heavy trucks, a recovery takes long and is expensive. The truck-underfloor-design with their robust main chassis beams favors the assembly of U-Systems with their little space requirements and light weight and thus facilitates the lifting of the truck near its center of gravity for maximum traction.

Trailers and semitrailers

Trailer, semi trailer, semitrailer, artic, artic lorry, eighteen-wheeler with a Traution traction system.

4

Pulling a trailer isn't good for your vehicle's grip at all. A heavy trailer has to be moved along by the driving force and thus by the traction of the tow car but doesn't have powered wheels itself. That's why we see the same pictures of stuck semitrailer trucks on snowy roads every winter. By putting a Traution System into your trailer, you transform it from a traction killer into a grip generator which provides more traction to your tow car than it would have without a trailer. A trailer often offers enough space for the attachment of a wide variety of traction systems and so driving on extremely muddy dirt roads is now no problem any more even with a trailer. The same is true for semitrailers.

Caravans, campers, mobile homes and recreational vehicles

Mobile home, camper, caravan with a Traution traction system.

The classic case: A camper gets stuck on the wet lawn of a camping ground or sticks to a ground-obstacle with its low under-floor. Still other camper drivers like to stay overnight at unusual places, like for example beaches - getting stuck there all inclusive. You can leave all of this stress behind you by installing one of our traction systems to your camper. As a convenient side effect, it can serve as a leveling system to horizontally balance your caravan.

Delivery trucks, utility vehicles, transporters, vans and minivans

Van, delivery truck, panel truck, box van transporter, minivan with a Traution traction system.

In the winter it can often be observed that unloaded delivery vans with a rear wheel drive cannot advance on even lightly snowy roads because their wheels are spinning. This exemplifys the bad traction of this kind of vehicle in certain situations. Courier drivers are often in a hurry and cannot afford any delays by getting stuck. Vans not only offer the usual ways to attach a Traution System but offer the additional opportunity to let it disappear in the loading space.

Luxury limousines and upper class cars

Limousine, luxury car, stretch limousine, limo, upper class vehicle with a Traution traction system.

Limousines of the upper class are fascinating pieces of art and high tech. They are crammed with the latest technology and are vanguards in safety concepts that maybe applied in other cars years later. Moreover they offer all kinds of luxury to the occupants - from entertainment to an automatic back massage integrated in the seats. But even they have one big shortcoming even after decades of automobile development. They can still get stuck. This shouldn't be the case anymore in the 21st century. Mankind is on the brink of walking on mars but a Bentley still has to capitulate on a wet lawn. For this we offer a remedy in the form of Traution Systems which were developed so that they cannot be seen from outside in order not to impair the great visual appearance of these cars. Ultra flat units for the under-floor or the trunk are available for this.

Sports cars

Sports car, racing car, racecar with a Traution traction system.

A popular video motive that is often shared at social media are sports cars that want to turn on a lawn and get stuck there. Then you get comments like: "He paid so much money for this car and isn't even able to drive here!" Your sports car can now offer a show to those enviers that no burnout is able to. By activating your L-System that was especially developed for cars with very little ground clearance. It disappears inside or in the trunk and is invisible from the outside when deactivated.

All other kinds of cars

Car, small car, compact car, medium-sized vehicle with a Traution traction system.

Of course our traction systems are applicable in all other kinds of cars just as well. The dwellers of southern cities may have little demand for them. But if you sometimes drive your car on dirt roads, forest tracks or field paths or if you live in snowy areas, it might be worth erring on the side of caution and to install a Traution System to your car.

City buses, coaches and all other kinds of buses

Bus, city bus, coach, tour bus, luxury bus with a Traution traction system.

In the developed world, buses are seldomly driving on non-asphaltic roads. In the developing world and in third world countries this is different. There, buses even have to cross rivers. But by turning on a lawn, buses can get stuck quickly or the under-floor can rest on the ground. As other vehicles, buses are in danger of losing traction in the winter too. In mountainous areas or in northern countries, the punctuality can get lost quickly when the bus gets stuck. That's why we offer Traution Systems for buses as well.
